The best list of Tasmanian beaches is to be found on the Surf Lifesaving’s Beachsafe website.
It is based on Andrew Short’s Beaches of the Tasmanian Coast and Islands (2006) published by the University of Sydney and can be bought on the University of Sydney site. He has a section on beach processes and then a numbered inventory – where numbers exist on my blog posts it’s these beach numbers I’m referring to. It’s an excellent resource if you’re serious about beaches.
